The team, including House's Andy Cruz and Ken Barber, then began an exhaustive period of "design archeology," scouring the Eames archives, interviewing family and colleagues, and drawing inspiration from everything: the structural logic of the Eames House, the hand-drawn lettering on their blueprints and exhibition panels, and even their fascination with the bulbous, exuberant lettering of Victorian circus posters.
