Once the battery is 100% charged, the charger cuts off entirely. When the battery self-discharges to 95%, the KL 1208 tops it off. This is ideal for winter storage.
"The KL 1208 is designed exclusively for batteries produced before 2022." If you have an old 12V Max drill, keep this charger. If you buy new 8.0Ah batteries, you need the charger.
