To circumvent the absence of the Google Play Store and its dependent frameworks, third-party "Google Installer" tools have emerged. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the technical architecture, operational methodology, legal ramifications, and security risks associated using Google Installer on MIUI 12.5.5 (Android 10). We examine the dependency chain of GMS components, the specific compatibility constraints of Android 10’s scoped storage and permission models, and the cat-and-mouse dynamics between Xiaomi’s system updates and unofficial GMS activation. Findings indicate that while functional, these installers operate in a legal gray area, introduce significant attack vectors, and degrade system stability.
