IFMS Punjab is an integrated, web-based software application implemented by the Finance Department of Punjab in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC). It acts as a central repository for financial data, connecting treasury offices, state departments, and drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs).

Public financial management (PFM) reforms are critical for ensuring efficient use of state resources. Traditionally, the Government of Punjab relied on fragmented, manual processes for budget formulation, fund release, and payment authorization. This led to delays in vendor payments, lack of real-time expenditure visibility, and reconciliation issues.

This module allows the Finance Department to digitize the budget document. It manages the entire lifecycle of budget allocations, supplementary demands, and re-appropriations. Departments can view their real-time expenditure against allocations online.
